Restrict Viewers on an MBEG+

MBEG+ Firmware v3.0 is required as the MBEG must be in G-Core mode. How to Update MBEG+ Firmware

To restrict an MBEG+ to only be able to call cameras into certain viewers:

1) Create a Populated Layout with Global Numbers assigned in a linear sequence.

  2) Open the Configuration Menu of the MBEG+ (F16)
  3) Determine the Base Address value. This is the highest viewer number minus the number of viewers available.
I.e., the template above would be 204-4=200. You can think of this as a viewer number offset as this changes what the MBEG displays vs which viewer it displays on.
  4) Set the Max No. of viewers that will be used and save and exit (4 for the above example).

5) On the main screen of the MBEG, you will only be able to select viewer numbers through to the maximum value, as the Base Address will calculate the actual requested
viewer number.
