G-SIM v11 Operator Console Cheatsheet

Viewing Video:

Live View

Click Cameras Tab on right > Use Search Bar or Filter to narrow Cameras in list > Click and Drag Camera from the list into a Viewer

Playback controls


Go to date/time
  1. Click box with Time and Date
  2. Change Values to desired
  3. Press Enter key
Scrubbing
  1. Adjust Time Resolution using black handles
  2. Click + Drag Timeline OR Click + Drag grey section (labelled above with  1min)

Viewer Controls

PTZ
  1. Click PTZ Icon in top-left of viewer
    1. Click and drag to pan/tilt
    2. Scroll-wheel controls zoom
  2. When finished, click PTZ Icon again to turn off control
Double-click to maximise > Double-click to restore

X in top-right clears Viewer

Exporting Video

GBF vs other formats

GBF retains event data + faster to export + space efficient + tamper-proof

Quick Export (GBF or MPEG)

  1. Display Cameras to be Exported on ScreenClick Quick Export on top toolbar
  2. Select Cameras using checkboxes
  3. Click Time Range button
  4. Select Duration and enter a time OR Date and enter a starting and finishing time
  5. Click Apply
  6. Select Destination Folder
  7. Enter File Name
  8. Click Export

Cut Lists (MP4, MPEG4CCTV/H.264 raw)

Situational Awareness

Sites & Maps

Viewing a Map
  1. Click Sites tab on right
  2. Click and drag Site (Map) to view into Viewer
Using a Map
  1. Click Hotsposts to navigate to other Maps
  2. Click and drag Camera icons or label to empty Viewer to view

Alarms

Processing Alarms
  1. Click Alarms tab on right
  2. Click an Alarm
  3. Click Take and View
  4. Review Alarm
  5. Fill details if requried
  6. Click Complete

Templates and Favourite Layouts

Swich Viewer Template + Create Favourite Layouts
  1. Click the Template button on the top toolbar
  2. Select desired Template to Apply it
  3. Drag desired cameras into Viewers
  4. Click the Favourite Layouts tab
  5. Click Save Current Layout as a Favourite































Clear all Viewers of cameras
  1. Click the Template button the top toolbar 
  2. Click the X icon

Investigations

  1. Click Process Data tab on right
  2. Click Filter button
  3. Use Checkbox to select Analytic to search
  4. Set time
  5. Enter search query
  6. Click Ok

Cut Lists

  1. Creation
    1. Click Cut Lists tab on right
    2. Click New Cut-List button
    3. Select Event Type from dropdown list, enter notes, edit name, if rqeuired
    4. Use Section Start/End and playback buttons to set section of interest 
    5. Drag and drop camera from Viewer into created Cut List to add entry
    6. Repeat for additional Cameras/entries
    7. Click Edit button to exit Edit mode


  1. Export
    1. Select Cut List to be exported
    2. Click Export button
    3. Select destination folder
    4. Enter file name and required options
    5. Click Export
